Here's what I used for the Torcon3 (2003) program participant bio (slightly modified to first person.) As the mother of a 7 year old future filker and costumer, I am busy singing, playing music, and making costumes from paper drawings. I am not only raising a costumer, but have a background of sewing, music, and graphics. I design CD packaging, newsletters and web sites; collect children's literature; and read avidly. I have experience in fannish and music publishing, run non-profit charity auctions for Interfilk, a filk fan fund, and have been on the ConCom of the local Boston area gen and filk cons...09.15.04 Update: Talis is now 8.75, and an accomplished costumer. I have recently gained experience running children's programming for Arisia and Noreascon 4. 01.28.05 Update: Talis is now 9. Add Arisia 05/Arisia 05.1 to my list of cons worked. Add Boskone 42(?); catapults were *very* popular! 08.05 I've gone pro! I ran the Children's programming at the Learning in Our Own Way Home Schooling conference, Woburn, MA... way cool. 3 December 2007: Talis mentions to me that she is almost 12 now... in fact, turns 12 on the 23rd of this month! We've got another Arisia and Boskone coming up...
19 January 2009: I can haz a Teenager who has just won her first award in the Novice class in the Arisia Masquerade.
